Simple and comfortable configuration of O2 Hot Spot
  • Enter the parameters of O2 Hot Spot into your computer in a place where the service is available. In your wireless connection software select the CZO2 network and the “access point” or “infrastructure” wireless connection mode. Run your Internet browser. If you select any Internet address, the software will automatically re-route you to the homepage of O2 Hot Spot.
  • Enter the username and password sent to you by SMS (applies to existing customers), from your pre-charged O2 coupon or from your service provision contract (applies to all other customers) and you will be immediately connected to the Internet.

What is DATA LINE?

The Data Line of Telefónica O2 Czech Republic (720 720 111) is essentially a help line. Its objective is to help with HW and SW problems concerning data services provided by O2 and to carry out manual configuration of data services, such as WAP, MMS, E-mail Client, Push to Talk, JAVA Profile, etc., in mobile phones. 

All Data Line calls are charged as calls to O2 network. Waiting time is not charged.

Our operators will help you with the following issues:  

  • Installation of HW and SW related to Internet connection services.  
  • Connection functionality tests. Elimination of problems related to utilisation of data services.
  • Information on services and configuration of GPRS, HSCSD, EMAIL, ADSL, WIFI, FAX, SMS CONNECTOR and OFFICE CONNECTOR

We have a list of our authorised (implementation) data partners and all O2 shops where our customers inexperienced in installation of mobile data services can ask for help (installation of data and fax services, GPRS Internet, reinstallations, etc.).

Before you contact one of our authorised data partners with a particular query, you should call and ask what is needed for trouble-free installation. If having problems with data services, you should try to call the free information line of O2 first.   

  • Dial *11 (tariff clients or clients using pre-paid services) or 720 720 111 (paid Data Line). 

When contacting an authorised data partner, be sure you can answer the following questions:

  • What type of service are you interested in (O2 Internet Mobil 384, Internet Home, Internet Express, O2 Internet Kombi 1024, E-mail, data transmission, transmission of faxes, WAP, GPRS)?
  • What type of device or mobile phone are you going to use for data services?
  • Where will the required service be installed (PC, notebook, PDA…)?
  • Which operating system does your device use (Windows 95/98/NT/2000, Linux, MSDOS, etc.)?
  • Have you any accessories connecting your PC with your mobile phone?
  • Have you already attempted installation? If so, have you experienced any problems?
  • Have you any special requirements concerning the time and place of installation?
  • How can we get back to you (name, telephone number or e-mail)?

O2 Hot Spot offers several payment methods. Select the one that suits you most and get your access to high-speed wireless Internet connection right away.

Contracts with monthly fixed fees (applies to all subjects)

You may ask for activation from any O2 shop or business partner. You will be required to sign a contract specifying your monthly flat-fee tariff program.

Every month, you will receive an invoice featuring an account statement. If you are an existing contractual client of O2, the cost of the Internet connection service shall be added to your standard monthly invoice (as an extra item). If you are an existing contractual client of O2, your O2 Hot Spot access password will be sent to you through SMS. Your (9-digit) GSM telephone number shall be used as your username. If you are not an existing contractual client of O2, your user name (a virtual telephone number) and password will be sent by post.

The service shall be provided in compliance with the General Conditions of O2 Hot Spot PP.

* When signing up for O2 Hot Spot Non-stop, the client undertakes to use the services of Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, a.s. for at least the following 12 months. If the client breaches the terms and conditions of this offer or its General Conditions, Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, a.s. will be entitled to claim a contractual penalty totalling CZK 899 excl. VAT (CZK 1,069.81 incl. VAT) for each remaining month pursuant to Sec. 11.6 of the General Conditions.

Note: we charge for the first 5 minutes and then every 30 seconds commenced. Unused free hours are not transferred to the following billing period. The aforementioned prices are introductory and also apply to the use of O2 Hot Spots. This tariff may be activated separately or as an addition to an existing voice tariff.

Pre-paid O2 coupon (applies to all subjects)

You can also use O2 Hot Spot if you buy a pre-paid coupon. In order to connect, you have to enter your 14-digit coupon code serving as both the username and password.

The time of connection through O2 Hot Spot depends on the value of your pre-paid coupon. We charge the first 5 minutes of connection and then every 30 seconds commenced. You can use your pre-paid O2 coupon to connect repeatedly until its credit is completely utilised.
